Revival in America

Written by Joe Mavilia

I believe most Americans love the idea of freedom and Liberty. Thus, by default they love the foundation that gives them a solid reason for their love of country.

It follows, therefore, that they agree with the principals of faith that built their way of life, in America, that they love so much. And because they believe in the principles and moral structure of our founding, they, by default believe in the teaching of the bible and of Jesus Christ. Even though they may be unaware of the origins of those values and morals, by which they live, Americans are Christians at heart.

I believe that deep rooted goodness is what is fueling the current revival in America. People are in turmoil and are turning back to the basic principles in ever growing numbers. The foundation of America, the Ark, is based on the Christian faith that is being taken to the whole world as Christ commissioned us to do.

It is estimated that 2 billion, or 25% of the world’s population, claim to be followers of Jesus Christ. Somehow the truth has been revealed to them. The bible tells us that the Lord works in mysterious ways.

This is what gives me hope. To me America is, and has been, the modern-day Noah’s Ark. That exceptional land is what provides a place for the rebirth and renewal of the heart of a fallen country and of fallen man. That, in following Christian traditions in America, it is the world’s last and best hope for survival.

It is true that America, as an ark, has sprung a few leaks because the enemy of America works hard to poke more and more holes in its hull.

Christians however are working equally hard to save her. While some are bailing to keep her afloat, others are spreading the good news of the gospel of the bible. That work means we are headed for a change of the heart of the people. And that revival will restore the worthiness of America to defeat a sea of troubles that is facing our country and our world.

Keep the faith America. Pray for her. She is worth keeping afloat.
